More than half our students choose a dive option each summer. You'll never forget the sensation of taking your first breath underwater, and more students are choosing to do just that on our programs every season. Over the years, Sail Caribbean has introduced thousands of teens to diving in our Discover Scuba Diving course, and we've certified more than 4,000 teenagers as Open Water, Advanced Open Water, Rescue Diver, Divemaster, and Specialty divers.

Sail Caribbean is committed to providing the best diving experience possible. Through Sail Caribbean Divers, our year-round PADI dive center headquartered on Tortola, full-time professional instructors provide BVI program students with a comprehensive dive education program using our own outstanding custom-built dive boats and scuba equipment.

Diving from our custom dive boats ensures young divers a safe and comfortable experience. Our four Newton dive boats, 26, 36 and 46 feet, provide spacious and stable platforms for easy and safe entry and exit from the water. These boats carry the dive equipment, tanks, BCDs, regulators, and wetsuits to each site so precious living space onboard our sailboats is not used for wet dive gear. We fill our tanks at our base with three commercial-grade compressors, so evenings onboard are peaceful, not noisy. Additionally, in the event conditions at a particular dive site are less than ideal, our dive boats can easily move to a better location.

Our energetic and enthusiastic staff of 16+ PADI instructors in the BVI are dedicated to quality scuba-diving education. Without the distraction of responsibilities onboard the sailboats, our dive instructors are solely focused on educating and supervising divers at an unparalleled level of safety. An intimate knowledge of dive sites, experience with teens, commitment to professionalism, and high standards enable us to encourage and inspire students as they share their passion for scuba diving. A high staff-to-student ratio, both above and below the water, allows our dive staff to create a uniquely safe and exciting experience.

Dive at your own pace
Student divers learn and progress at different rates. This is especially true for beginners getting used to scuba equipment and breathing underwater. It's also true for experienced divers pursuing advanced certifications. The depth and strength of Sail Caribbean's dive staff, close communication and coordination with the students' captains and mates, and the versatility and flexibility of our fleet of custom dive boats allow us to work with each student at his or her own pace. Many Charlie program students eagerly pursue multiple certifications—last year a few earned more than six! Other students choose to get certified and then enjoy recreational diving or study marine biology. Whatever your ambition, we will work closely with you to provide a challenging, fun, and rewarding dive experience.
