Scuba diving is an exciting and healthy activity, and has become an increasingly popular sport among our students. In 2002, Sail Caribbean made a considerable long-term commitment to provide the best scuba diving experience possible when we launched our year-round diving operation in the British Virgin Islands.
From the start, Sail Caribbean Divers was welcomed as a respected member of the BVI community. Headquartered at Hodges Creek Marina on Tortola, with a satellite facilities on Cooper Island and Norman Island, Sail Caribbean Divers is a PADI Five Star Instructor Development Dive Center. This is PADI's highest dive center rating and recognizes our record in providing quality dive education and services to enthusiasts of all ages and levels, from beginners to diving professionals.
Our staff of PADI-trained and certified, full-time, year round dive instructors focus solely on scuba diving, without the distraction of additional summer program responsibilities. Daily meetings make certain that our Caribbean scuba diving team is fully coordinated and committed to the highest level of professionalism. Our dive staff is energetic, enthusiastic, and has intimate knowledge of all the local dive sites. They hail from diverse and fascinating backgrounds and continually encourage and inspire our students as they share their passion for scuba diving.
Directing our dive operations, we are proud to have Melisande Rowe, a 13-year veteran with Sail Caribbean and current President of the BVI Scuba Operators organization, and Mike Rowe, the BVI's only resident PADI Course Director - PADI's highest certification level. Mike has personally certified over 800 dive industry professionals. Our talented and experienced leaders, coupled with our outstanding dive team, help us maintain the BVI's premier diving operation.
